Digital Preservation Policy
Misostenido adopts digital preservation and interoperability practices to ensure access to published content and the potential restoration of its electronic archives, recognising the importance of permanently preserving the journal’s legacy.
The journal employs various methods to ensure the long-term preservation of and access to its digital objects: preservation metadata, the assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to articles, and the implementation of the OAI-PMH protocol (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), which enables the harvesting and interoperability of metadata between repositories and scientific information services.
Misostenido uses internal preservation methods, including regular backups, as well as external methods, such as the deposit and indexing of its content on external scientific information platforms and services, such as Dialnet. These external methods contribute to the long-term preservation, visibility and discoverability of published articles.
